








IS IT PAINFUL?
During the surgery, the patient is locally anaesthetized, therefore, no pain can be felt. Additionally, a sedation service is offered for the nervous patients. After the surgery, there will normally be a light pain and it can persist for up to ten days. Analgesics are prescribed by the dentist to remedy to those pains.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF FAILURE?
The non-integration risks are minimal, from 3% for the bottom of the jaw, and 7% for the top jaw. In the case of failure, a repetition to the implantology procedure is prescribed.

WHAT ARE THE DURATION OF THE TREATMENT?
The placement of the implant usually lasts a session of 90 minutes, including the anaesthesia.
WHAT IS THE HEALING TIME?
After the placement of the implant, the healing time can last from 3 to 5 months. If there is bone grafting, the treatment can last more than 4 months.
