Gum disease?
What is a gum disease
Invisible enemy, the periodontal disease is the disease of the gum. Very widespread throughout the world, the symptoms are often neglected and are diagnosed only too late. To lose a tooth without decay, it is possible!
The periodontal structures are composed by the gum, the bone and the structures which support the teeth. A such base, it is the periodontal structures which keep the teeth in place in the mouth. An infection of the periodontal structures can bring to the possible loss of teeth.
In two words, the periodontal disease is the degradation of the bone and the gum which surround the teeth.
This quiet and often painless infection, attack the surrounding gum and bone causing the mobility of the tooth and consequently, the inevitable loss of the tooth. Keep in mind that the disease often affect more than one tooth, because all the teeth receive the same care and habits.
