DENTAL EXAM

DEFINITION:

A dental examination consists of verifying the state of the teeth and oral structures, as well as their health. To maintain healthy teeth for life, an examination is essential every six months.

During the first dental examination visit, it is recommended to take x-rays of different areas of the mouth, demonstrating the teeth and structures of the jaws, ensuring that the teeth are in good shape.


APPLICATIONS:

According to the Canadian dental association, a dental exam allows the detection of the following problems:

•Deterioration of fillings, crowns, bridges, and other treatments.

Cavities.

•Periodontal pockets caused by gum disease.

•Cracked and fractured teeth.

•Impacted wisdom teeth.

•Signs of gum disease.

•Signs of cancers of the mouth.

•Signs and symptoms harming health in general.
